About
The idea for The Box Collective came from Alex Delfont and Tom Meddings in 2008. The site will be kept in shape by me (Alex), just in case you find a mistake and want to let me know!. The Box Collective is a place for the various things created by us and our friends. We all share a love of music and art, playing computers, building things and hiding away for weeks doing these things. This is a place for people to look, listen and read whatever it is we feel like putting here. It will serve as a net label too, with the majority of music being released for free under a Creative Commons License. We hope you enjoy it! Go to the artists page to see the different people in the collective and their various projects, or click here to see a list of all the releases on The Box Collective.
Getting Your Hands on Releases
You can download or stream the majority of The Box Collective releases for free in mp3 format. Use the player on any music page to listen straight off the website, or click the little arrow next to a song to download it. You can also download the whole album or EP by clicking the download link on any music page. Albums and EP's come in a compressed file you will need to extract once downloaded. The mp3's are high quality (192kbps) and tagged, with a playlist file. The downloads come with front and back cover art, the right size for printing and sticking in a CD case! Just download the releases from within each person's page. Contact me if you need anything in uncompressed .wav format.

Permissions beyond the scope of this license may be available, just contact us.
No work under the BY-NC-SA can be used for commercial purposes without the express consent of its author. Derivative works may be made from the original piece, however they must be accompanied by the proper attribution and released under the BY-NC-SA license.
Basically... download it, listen to it, share it, but don't steal it, and give credit where it's due!
It will be stated on a release's page if has not been released under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license, and therefore will be available for purchase only, and under normal copyright laws.
